Overview Mute seeks an experienced and exceedingly well organized studio and A&R co-ordination manager. This is a rare opportunity to join the A&R and studio teams of a vibrant and historic independent label. The successful candidate must have previous A&R experience and at least some familiarity working in a recording studio. Though the role would work almost exclusively within the recording division of Mute, Mute Song (publishing division) and Mute Management (management division) rosters also make use of Studio Mute. Aswell as being available to writers, artists and producers signed to divisions within Mute, Studio Mute is available to external clients who are booked into the studio by our partners at Miloco. Tasks Coordinating the process of making an album; setting budgets with the A&R creative team; booking and negotiating deals with recording studios, session musicians and vocalists, producers and engineers and ensuring contracts are completed where necessary; supplying anything required on a recording session such as hard drives and hire equipment; booking travel or hotels needed for a session, receiving audio, sometimes of which may be high security, for listening purposes and delivering to the relevant people for approval; dealing with invoices and payments for people involved in […]
